UPDATE!

Hi Jessi!

About the horses... sultan is the man! i love everything about him. last weekend we took our whole 4-h club camping up in indiana and those 2 horses are great. we get so many complements on them being so beautiful. they have put on some weight which i am monitoring closely so they dont gain to much. i have found sultan doesnot play well with others, and doesnt like another horse in his space. so we are working on that. he also likes to travel close to the edge of the trails, where they just drop off... so we are working on that and flexing. bootsy which has become beauty, just because it kept coming out of bryans mouth by accident. is great. he is so in love with that mare. we have been working really hard on her edge she has, she has learned to stand while he mounts her, and also go to a picnic table if need be. she has really come a long way, he has put her in every situation almost, except semi's. that will come a little later. he has shot a cap gun off of her. after we practiced being on the ground with her. the first time he did it on the ground she got mad at him and totally ignored him for a few days. but she forgave him. she has settled down so much you wouldnt know her. her lip hardly ever flaps any more. we thank you again for such wonderful horses. my blacksmith shoed them just like you had them, so not to mess up their gait. i try to ride sultan everyother day. hes a hoot. and what a personality, out stalls have hay doors that open up to feed them, he loves to slam his open and act like he is going to eat someone. hes so dramatic. but he has become my boy. they get to go out in the back fields now during the day, the sun doesnt bleach them now. we want to keep them black like you had them. they are use to the llamas now, and the donkey, they no longer pay attention to the goats. but sultan wants to fuss with my mini stallion, naturally, beauty thinks hes hot, and flirts with him something terrible over the fence. she loves to show herself to him. hes only 28 inches tall, so it is quite a sight.

Jessi,

We were so tickled to hear from you already, I will never forget your mom’s tears for her horse as we were getting ready to leave. She touched my heart so. We are so glad to have gotten to meet you all, you’re such great folks! They both made it home just fine, we stopped at cracker barrel and had dinner after it started cooling off. The two kids were brought water by the manager and received a lot of attention and compliments. We told them we couldn’t take the credit for how wonderful they are because we had just got them, I have to give that to you... I want you to know how much it means to us to be able to get such great horses that have been bred and raised like they have been and we will make sure they receive the same care here at their new home. Tell Ronnie I went this morning and got me another tucker saddle. Good friends of ours own a huge tack shop and he deals in tuckers. I'm putting sultan in all black & chrome. I got the English style gaited horse saddle, Bryan is taking the one I had with us yesterday. Bootsey looks great in it. He is crazy about that mare, he rode her tonight in our ring for about 45 minutes, and he is in total love. I never thought he would go crazy over a gaited horse like this. She is a beauty. And so flashy. I rode sultan in the barn isle way for a little while, to get the feel of my saddle. He is a sweetheart, and so easy to work with. I will send some pics when I can.

You take care and we hope to see you soon, Take care and keep in touch, Pam & Bryan Burk, four seasons farm, verve, Indiana.......god bless
